NEW PATIENTS & BILLING

IMCNC is Accepting New Patients

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in Integrative Medical Clinic of North Carolina!

Many potential new patients have questions about what care at IMCNC is like.

What is Different About Integrative Medical Care?
Integrative medicine approaches medical concerns with a “whole person” approach, which is a patient-centered approach to healthcare that considers the whole person, not just a single issue or diagnosis. Whole person care is based on the idea that health and disease are connected, and that many factors can affect a person’s health. These factors include biological makeup, behavior, environment, self-care, lifestyle, and stress management. Whole person care focuses on restoring health, preventing disease, and promoting resilience. It also incorporates a patient’s preferences and choices, so listening and collaboration are very important components at IMCNC.

What Treatment Can I Expect for My Medical Concern?
Because care at IMCNC is so personalized, it can be difficult to answer this question. Testing is an important part of the process of identifying issues that may be affecting the patient’s well-being. Integrative Medicine practices use testing to take a much deeper dive into each person’s health biome. IMCNC does more testing, including some tests that are not used in traditional medical practices, than most other practices to identify potential issues that may be causing acute or chronic medical issues.

What Happens at the First Visit?
At your first visit your Provider will review your answers to the health questions you completed and will ask more questions about the history of the medical issues you are experiencing. Your Provider may offer options for next steps including testing, taking supplements and lifestyle changes. It is up to you, the patient, to determine your personal plan of action.

What Happens at the Second Visit?
When your first visit is scheduled, the practice will automatically schedule your second appointment for a lab review. This is to ensure that you can be seen for a follow-up appointment as quickly as possible after your lab results are in. Your provider will review all test results and together, you and your Provider will determine a treatment plan. NOTE: If you did not choose to have any lab tests, or if you choose not to continue to receive care at IMCNC, we ask that you cancel that second appointment when you check out, or call us at (984) 999-0902 to cancel or reschedule.

What If I Want to Use IMCNC as My PCP for Primary Care?
IMCNC Providers are capable of performing all of the functions of a primary care practice including annual physicals and treating the various issues that other primary care practices do. Where we differ, however, is that we see a limited number of patients each day so we may not always have a same-day or next-day appointment available for urgent issues. Many of our patients elect to establish at a traditional primary care practice in addition to being seen at IMCNC and they use that practice for same-day/next-day appointments.

How Can I Use My Insurance at Integrative Medical Clinic?

Although we do not accept any insurance plans, only the IMCNC office visits are not covered by your insurance plan. Most traditional lab tests and imaging (x-rays, etc.) and prescription medication will be covered by your plan. Note that your Provider may recommend testing that is not covered by your insurance plan and you have the option to decline any testing. We are pleased to file your out-of-network claims for all non-Medicare plans. We advise you to call the member number on the back of your insurance card and ask for information on available reimbursement for out-of-network providers.

  • We currently have two care plan options: Pricing for Pay-Per-Service is as follows: New patient visits are $400 and all established patient visits, including physicals, are $250. Services such as portal messages, phone messages and forms that require Provider time are separately chargeable. See all pricing here.
  • The Membership Plan for 2025 pricing varies based on the type of membership and provides varying months of care depending on when you start.  More information is here.

In addition to seeing patients for many different health issues, we are proud to have the only Low Dose Allergy (LDA) program in North Carolina, facilitated by Karen Saylor, FNP-BC.

If you have questions about becoming a new patient at IMCNC, please reach out to our New Patient Coordinator, DeMarcus Taylor. DeMarcus can be reached at (984) 280-3509 or by email at demarcus@imcnorthcarolina.com.

What is a cash practice?

In this video, we explain the concept of a cash practice and how it works at the Integrative Medical Clinic of North Carolina (IMCNC). IMCNC does not accept insurance for office visits, but patients can use insurance benefits for most lab tests, imaging, x-rays, and prescriptions. For patients with non-Medicare insurance and out-of-network benefits, we’ve partnered with Reimbursify to help file claims at no extra cost. Learn about our unique approach to billing, payment options, and how we’re here to support you with any questions at (984) 999-0902.

Whether in person or via televideo, this group is hands down the best I’ve found in the area with the exceptional combination of head, heart, and hands. That they are alopathically and naturopathically trained and proficient is the frosting on the cake! I continue to be impressed by their high standards of excellence, and thorough investigative skills since first discovering them several years ago. I feel privileged to have crossed paths with this group, especially Dr. McGregor. Her smile lights up a whole room. You’re in for a real treat!

Finding IMC has been a blessing! Great place to get your whole body back in health. Working with Addie has been amazing for gut and hormonal imbalance. She listens to you and makes sure to assess each option available. I truly feel heard for once in terms of my symptoms and seeing results. Definitely recommend the practice 🙂

I flew across the country to consult with this team of highly trained physicians. With a complicated health history and frustrated with relying solely on traditional methodologies, I sought out this clinic for the physicians’s holistic approach to treating patients. The environment is warm and welcoming, the physicians are extremely thorough and deeply caring. I strongly recommend at least a consultation to any patient seeking alternative care options.

I believe in natural, holistic & non conventional medical approaches. I have searched for many years to find a practice that would work for my many health concerns. As a Senior, there continues to be new challenges to address. Integrative Medical Clinic in Chapel Hill not only has helped me find answers that I have been searching for decades, but continues to have additional services that I will be able to utilize quickly. Senior Citizens are not always valued. Here I feel just as valued as any other citizen. In fact, I’m made to feel special.

I have been seeing Addie Skow for over a year now and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. First and foremost, she LISTENS. Addie takes her time to really understand you and your symptoms. I have been seeing specialists for decades and it wasn’t until I started being treated by Addie that my symptoms and quality of life significantly improved. Moving to this practice was the best decision I ever made for my health!

I have finally found a doctor who listens and wants to help! They were open to giving me more natural alternatives, instead of pushing stronger meds with more side effects. They seem to genuinely want to correct the root causes of my medical issues instead of just putting a band aid on them. I feel so relieved to have found such a great office! The doctor offered so many simple recommendations that already have me feeling much better and more like myself. Definitely recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

After years of being told that symptoms that I was suffering from were “normal” for a woman my age and feeling dismissed by past doctors, I had extensive blood work as well as other testing done to confirm that there was a deep rooted problem which caused many other health issues. Diligence has paid off and after a year of working with Addie I am feeling better not just physically but mentally as well. She has always been very transparent with her approach and has educated me to understand better how the systems of our bodies work together. I have never felt so heard by a medical professional and for that alone, they deserve full credit!

Changed my primary care to Integrative Med in Dec 2021 and it has been the best decision I have regained control of my health thanks to Addie. Addie listened to me and after 2 visits and some targeted blood work determined my issues and set me on the right path to a healthy life. She is so passionate about women’s health and is knowledgeable and caring. I love that that she takes time with me and that I can message her knowing she will answer. I highly recommend them. Truly has made a difference in my life! Thank you so much.

I had my first visit with Julie McGregor this week after previously seeing Will Pendergraft who is no longer with the office. I was very pleased. The waiting room and Dr. McGregor’s office are both very calm and peaceful. Dr. McGregor was easy to talk to, listened attentively and showed genuine concern for any issues that I discussed.

I am a strong believer in using natural medicine whenever possible but I like having doctors that have the training to use either or both natural/holistic and conventional medicine.
The office has calming esthetics unlike most medical settings.
Thank you for creating a great practice that is patient centered!

They have a great range of complementary services available, and all in a soothing atmosphere.

Three generations of my family receive solutions and preventative pathways to health at IMCNC.
The IMCNC practice delivers extended healthcare services delivered by skilled practitioners. I have experienced benefit from both expert medical intervention and improved sleep and skin, plus experiencing elimination of pain and inflammation by using red light therapy. I feel calm and confident every time I visit IMCNC.

Addie Skow is the most knowledgeable and compassionate Dr. I have ever seen. She tailors her care for my specific issues, which do not have a straightforward diagnosis (endocrine and hormonal problems). She knows how to treat subtle things, and overt problems in a wholistic way. I cannot sing her praises enough. I am so grateful for her and this practice!

Tyler F.

This is an amazing practice with incredible medical staff. Ask for Addie Skow. She has such an extensive knowledge in endocrineology. I’m never going to anyone else again.

Jessica F.

If you are looking for a phenomenal practice, this is definitely the place! The staff, doctors and nurses are all wonderful. Addie Skow took her time and explained things so well. I felt like I finally got answers after years of frustration and lots of wasted visits other places. Give this place a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Energy Medicine

Energy Medicine (EM) is defined as any energetic or informational interaction with a biological system to bring back homeostasis in the organism. EM treats with the understanding that all illness results from disturbances in this energy known as the human biofield (chi or prana), and works by manipulating the body’s energy fields to achieve a positive effect on physical and mental health. Energy Medicine theory states “Physics does not override biochemistry, it drives it.”
