What Is Health Coaching, and How Can It Help You Feel Better?

What Is Health Coaching?

IMCNC’s Health Coaching provides you with a professional who uses evidence-based strategies and guided conversation to pinpoint ways to improve your health and meet your wellness goals. 

You’ll work collaboratively with your Health Coach to identify what matters most to you, and then create sustainable, realistic steps to help you meet your goals. Think of it as a supportive, ongoing conversation grounded in active listening, accountability, and practical tools—along with someone to support and celebrate your progress along the way.

Meet Your Health Coach

We currently have one Health Coach on staff, the wonderful Christine Phillips. 

Christine is a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC), which means she is trained in both foundational functional medicine principles as well as health coaching techniques. 

Christine dedicates her time to understanding your whole-person wellness, and empowers you to integrate healthy habits into your life in a way that’s realistic, productive, and sustainable. Your plan is designed specifically for you.

  • Nutrition and detoxification
  • Sleep and restoration
  • Stress management
  • Relationships and connection
  • Movement and physical activity

Who Is Health Coaching For?

  • Your provider has made recommendations, but you feel confused on the best way to implement them into your daily life 
  • You are overwhelmed by supplement and dietary recommendations
  • You need help identifying the best way to change your routines, or find ways for provider recommendations to fit your needs and become achievable 
  • You’d like to have a more in-depth discussion about your diagnoses, your conditions or understanding more about the root causes of your health issues
  • You feel limited in your time, energy or capacity to really make meaningful changes 
  • You’re looking for more guidance, support, or time to fully understand and follow through on your care plan

How Health Coaching Fits Into Your Care

Health coaching sessions are one-on-one and designed to support you alongside your medical care. Whether you’re just getting started or trying to stay consistent with a plan, your coach helps bridge the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it.
